Why "YouBuyBitcoin.com"?
When someone asks a friend: "What should I do about Bitcoin?"
The answer is three words: "You buy Bitcoin."
The domain name is not just a URL. It's a psychological nudge. A call to action baked into a web address. When those three words leave someone's mouth, the domain is already typed. It's the most natural Bitcoin onramp URL in existence.
What took so long?
Life. Work. Uncertainty. Wanting to do it right instead of doing it fast. I could have slapped an affiliate link on it in 2018 and made money. But I didn't want to be another crypto content mill. I wanted to build something that would outlast me.

WE COMMIT
- We will never charge users — not now, not ever. Everything on this platform is free.
- We publicly pledge to direct 21% of net profits to Bitcoin education — once the platform is self-sustaining. This pledge is voluntary, not legally binding. See our Terms §7 for full details.
- The remaining 79% is reinvested into the platform — content, infrastructure, The Orange Pages, and growth. We don't extract profits. We build.
- All educational content is licensed under Creative Commons CC BY-SA 4.0
- Zero venture capital — we will never trade mission for shareholder return
- Quarterly transparency reports — revenue, expenses, donation allocation, Bitcoin transaction IDs
- Equal access, always — no user will ever be treated differently regardless of origin, status, or contribution

When you swap through our page, we earn a small commission at zero extra cost to you. We aim for the best affiliate deals for you where possible — because we sit at the front, we negotiate for you, not against you.
- Select listings in The Orange Pages — some listings offer affiliate programs. Where we use an affiliate link, it is always disclosed and tagged. Every CEX listing comes with a strong disclaimer and carries a "Not Your Keys, Not Your Bitcoin" reminder.

- Grants from the Bitcoin ecosystem — under our conditions only. We never give up editorial control, listing placement, or mission direction for a grant.

Not Your Keys, Not Your Bitcoin
We strongly recommend self-custody. Not your keys, not your Bitcoin is not just a slogan here — it's our core conviction. In plain terms: if someone else holds your Bitcoin, they can freeze it, lose it, or be forced to hand it over. We teach self-custody, we link to tools that enable it, and we believe it's the whole point of Bitcoin.
So why do we list custodial services? Because not everyone starts there. Centralized exchanges serve an onboarding purpose — especially for newcomers who aren't ready to manage their own keys yet. But every custodial listing on this site carries a clear reminder: learn to self-custody as soon as you can.
